The Austin-Western hydraulic cranes, models M-62, M-246, and Garwood M-543 are essentially the same in their engineering and operation. They are equipped with power take off drive, positive hydraulic power-fast, smooth, exact. Booms have 270 degree swing, 60 degree elevation, extend and retract hydraulically. For safety and vision, operator's seat is at the boom shipper. They are equipped with specially constructed bodies with treadplate and have front and rear manual heavy duty screw outriggers.
The models M-62 and M-543 have the same capabilities and capacities. They feature the
45,000# rear winch with line leveler. Boom retracted is 12' and extended is 18' with single insert. Maximum capacity is 20,000# with boom supports set and normal operation with outriggers set is 10,000#.
The M-246 has 215" wheelbase and CA of 132" and features the fifth wheel and boom with two inserts, one hydraulic and one manual. Boom retracted is 11'6" and extended is 26'. Maximum capacity is 20,000# with boom supports set and normal operation with outriggers set is 10,000#. |
